The one thing you cannot dispute, after the turnout at the Iraqi elections, with people voting for what they knew was going to be a cross-party government, you can’t dispute the majority of Iraqis want a different type of future.
And here’s me thinking that 80% of the Iraqi people actually voted for narrow sectarian parties who were forced into power sharing and the formation of a (nominal) coalition government by means of a constitution devised precisely to ensure that specific outcome.
