Has Cameron blown it with Praguetory
Remember Praguetory’s ‘George Osbourne’ gaff, which I exposed here? You know the one where he kicked off an attack on his own party’s shadow chancellor with the ostentatious pronouncement.
I am sure all of you know my anti-drugs stance. George Osbourne is a w*nker. I am doing this for the greater good. I would like to remove Osbourne from political life. It’s better in the long term…
The implication of such a statement seems perfectly clear, in Praguetory’s small-minded realm of sanctimonious morality, part misdemeanours, especially those which involve the (alleged) ingestion of of narcotic substances is sufficient to disbar one from public life, forever.
So, one has to wonder, whether PT now feels the same way about his party leader…
By then, of course, Cameron had learned how careful he needed to be at such gatherings. Having been busted at Eton for smoking cannabis - when named by a fellow smoker - Cameron wasn’t about to wreck his starry political career by indulging in illegal drugs in company.
Oops - oh dear.
And if that weren’t bad enough for the honourable member (fnarr!) for Prague, Mr Sanctimonious Prycke, the Indy goes one to note…
The current Tory party chairman, Francis Maude, was among those who admitted smoking cannabis when young, in a rebellion against the party’s “zero tolerance” policy towards the use of soft drugs. Others still on the Tory front bench who admitted trying the drug were David Willetts, the current shadow Education Secretary and Oliver Letwin, who heads Cameron’s policy development.
OMG! Not ‘Two-brains’ as well!
That’s quite a ‘hit-list’ when you think about it - if PT really is dedicated to removing people from public life simply for having indulged in a little recreational toke during their student days, then its not just his own shadow chancellor that has to go, but also his party leader, party chairman, shadow Education Secretary and the head of his party’s policy development operation.
Unless he’s a hypocrite, of course.

I do not need to give you explanations, but if those were words were ones that I wanted to have on my site and on the record, I wouldn’t have deleted the post immediately. A post need only be on the internet for a short time to cache. It wasn’t.

Huh?
Can we possibly have that again, only this time in English?
The question is simple enough - you cited allegations of Osbourne’s drug-taking as grounds, at least in part, for your expressed anti-Osbourne stance. I merely ask whether Cameron’s ‘bust’ for toking at Eton leads you to the same opinion of him that you have of Osbourne?

I hope you’re not making fun of poor old Dominic stuttering when he writes (’those were words were’). It is quite wrong to mock the afflicted.
