Election Night

Time for a bit of live-blogging, and the story so far is looking a little better than most were predicting - losses, yes but our share of overall vote in England is holding up and the Tories are hardly moving ahead by leaps and bounds.

The main theme of the night so far seems to be that there’s something of squeeze on the Lib Dems underway, which will be worth watching.

Worcester could be fun as it seems that the Tory candidate who managed to join UKIP as well may well have got in, which makes the choice facing the Tories an interesting one - keep the seat and find an excuse to write off her dual membership or ditch the newly elected councillor and hand the seat to UKIP.

Whoops, got a bit sidetracked but…

FUCK YEAH!!!!

Sandwell results in.

One Labour gain from the Tories in St Paul’s Ward, which they won last time out on a nakedly communalist vote, and one Lib Dem gain in Great Barr…

And to cap it all - NO FUCKING BNP GAINS!

Not one, not even in Princes End, where they’ve taken seats that the last two local election and which had a former Tory/Labour councillor (as in won the seat as a Tory then crossed the floor) standing as an independent to confuse matters even more than usual.

Lets not let David ‘Wine Fuhrer’ Bartley forget his..erm..exploits over the election. A self-outed Fascist supporter indeed. But not that the local print media will ever mention a word about it.
