At the risk of attracting a libel action from the Daily Mail, I’m happy to go on record to demonstrate unequivocally that Simon Walters is a lying scumbag.
In his hatchet job on Owen Barder (see last post), Walters makes this allegation:
Mr Barder also gives extraordinary details of his private life with partner, Grethe. Discussing his hobby of marathon running, he quotes an unnamed ’sex fiend’ female friend as saying: “I had a fling with a marathon runner. Damn that boy had stamina. It shows there is a correlation between fitness and all night sh******.”
Mr Barder adds: “Well, possibly, the ones who aren’t knackered running 80 miles that week.”
Unfortunately for the lying scumbag in question, a search for Owen’s blog in the Wayback Machine brings up precisely the blog entry to which he refers, which is this one.
So, in the tawdry mind of this lying scumbag of a hack, a jokey reference to an article by another blogger - not a friend, as the lying scumbag claims, just another blogger - becomes ‘giving extraordinary details of his private life with his partner, Grethe’ despite the post making no reference to either his personal life or partner.
Comments are open here, Mr Simon ‘lying scumbag’ Walters and unlike the Daily Mail, there’s no censoring comments to cover your arse, so I’m inviting you come and explain yourself.
That or prove yourself to be the lying scumbag you evidently are.
UPDATE:
To no surprise whatsoever, several bloggers have left comments on Walters’ hatchet job, pointing out that his article is littered with gross misrepresentations and distortions - none of which have made it past the Mail’s moderation.

I hope Mr Walters would enjoy my manipulation of his words with selective quotes, as he did to Mr Barder.

Once out of office, you are permitted to do so. though deciet and libel is another matter, as I told the Daily mail and don’t anticipate publication from them of course.
The state is the only ship that leaks from the top and not just of information by people who rat on others. But rats who eat rotten cheese, so to speak. This fellow and the DM are well versed in consuming whatver rotten cheese they can get and splurt it on the faces of decent people.
