Comments on: Dumbing Down Dementia http://www.ministryoftruth.org.uk/2007/06/29/dumbing-down-dementia/ Voilà! In view, a humble vaudevillian veteran, cast vicariously as both victim and villain by the vicissitudes of Fate. This visage, no mere veneer of vanity, is a vestige of the vox populi, now vacant, vanished. However, this valorous visitation of a by-gone vexation, stands vivified and has vowed to vanquish these venal and virulent vermin van-guarding vice and vouchsafing the violently vicious and voracious violation of volition. This is well established. It increases your risk on winding up with all manner of nasty shit, like cardiovascular disease, diabetes, sleep apnea, gallstones, hernias, fatty liver disease, renal failure, osteoarthritis, stokes, that most people would much rather not have to deal with. But clearly none of shit is scary enough to stop people pigging out at Maccy D’s, so now the ‘experts’ are wanting to tack going doolally-tap on to the list to make the whole business ever scarier.Dumbing down dementia from the Ministry of Truth+++++++++++ [...] […] Obesity is bad for you. And how much more fun will they have had enjoying their food and wine, rather than worrying about the calorie content of their bland diet-meal-for-one with reduced-taste-0-cal beverage? At this stage I'm still inclined to look at this from the POV of understanding that life is the only condition with a guaranteed 100% mortality rate. In English, smoking slows down the onset of Alzheimer's in people who have a history in it in their family. For the citation read this: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/sites/entrez?cmd=Retrieve&db=PubMed&list_uids=1855016&dopt=Citation It is interesting what the medical bodies don't want us to read! Maybe the figures in your article took the numbers who are giving up smoking due to the upcoming smoking ban as the reason for the growth in Alzheimer's?? :) There is evidence to show that smoking and Alzheimer’s Disease are connected, but inversely!
