Why would you assume that? The general assumption among the non-liberal, thinking population is that both parties are as corrupt as fuck and the Liberals (the actual political party) are deeply pissed that they aren’t the ones delivering the largess. The actual issue is the influence of vested financial interest over here today gone tomorrow politicians and whether this amounts to de facto plutocracy or not. Nu-Labour are corrupt but so were the Tories, so that’s okay then?

It appears Guido’s toys are well and truly out of his pram now.He’s now making noises about a private prosecution but,tellingly, most of his sock puppets are very nervous about the issue of personal liability ‘just in case’ they get saddled with an enormous bill for legal costs. Even more tellingly Guido has listed his 5 reasons for pressing ahead with a private prosecution:these include, ‘it’ll wipe the smile off Levy’s face’ ,’it’ll keep the issue of Labour sleaze in the headlines’ and ‘it’ll discourage donations to the Labour Party’ .Says it all really, when in a hole stop digging.

Incidentally, it really is worth re-watching that Newsnight interview with the benefit of hindsight.I laughed my bollocks off…

Should I qualify that last statement in true Prattory style by saying that information came to me from a very reliable source who’s identity I must keep a secret but involves this guy I met down the pub with a pitbull who’s cousin said he’d heard someone say something about it in a cafe in Prague that the taxi driver outside had in no uncertain terms confirmed that Prattory would be visiting the UK this weekend.

I could name two people who claim to have spoken to Labour party donors who admitted that buying honours was exactly what was going on. Being as either them or the actual donor themselves can deny that these conversations took place, me reporting people wouldn’t get us very far - think about it. Maybe one day I will be able to reveal more about these conversations, but I’ll be the judge of that.

The fact that many of these lenders originally wanted to donate but were asked to lend, that donor discussed Ps and Ks with Lord Levy and that the Labour Party hushed up these arrangements even from their own treasurer (Dromey) is evidence enough for me.

And for good measure fuck off you piece of shit. Against some strong competition you are indeed the saddest wretch I have seen spamming away at a PC.

How hard must it be to prove there was an agreement regarding the sale of an honour.
Because the investigation was initiated by a third party, the police had to prove there was an unambiguous agreement between the two sides.

Feudal patronage continues in great measure in Downing Street. But one should recall the great ritual chanting from New Labour about it being a party of honesty and integrity, and how the Conservatives were mired in unremitting sleaze.

How do we feel about that now? Is New Labour the paragon of probity and openness we should all model ourselves upon? Maybe we just should.

It’s all very well saying that others are ‘just as bad’. That’s not the point.
